Spring Cleaning for your business!
According to my friend Laura Renton's husband, spring started March 1st. Right now, I believe him. I've been totally preoccupied with the beautiful weather and doing a little spring cleaning, particularly in my business! Yeap, I'm getting rid of what no longer works and am focusing on what does! You'll see some amazing changes over the coming weeks!!
How am I doing most of it? Last week I had the privilege of participating in Lisa Mininni's Entrepreneurial Edge Systems Three Day Intensive. Yes, folks, it was intense and worth every minute!
Without giving away her secrets, Lisa provides ALL of the tools necessary to move your business full speed ahead. She gives you the complete success strategies and specific systems to implement NOW! Not only that, she does so in an entertaining, engaging format that keeps you totally locked in. Really, it's the first time in years that I didn't fall asleep at a seminar! LOL
I will say that the number one place I started was defining my mission and my vision. Thanks to the complete resources in Lisa’s 3 day and in her book, “Me, Myself and Why – The Secrets to Navigating Change” I have my vision complete, not just my business vision – my life’s vision. Do you have one? Have you looked at yours lately? Does it still resonate as strong with you today as the day you created it? Is it working? If not, get a hold of Lisa – she’s got the “right stuff” to get you going.
I'm getting my systems "turned on" and "plugged in". Keep your eyes and ears open for exciting changes. Be sure to visit our site, TheBlissNetwork.com and check it out! Watch for some great info to come on how you, too, can do a little Spring Cleaning in your business!

Smile, even when you don't want to!
On January 23, I posted a link from Steve Martile, 10 Tips To Feel Good Instantly by Smiling - I smile most of the time, unless I'm stuffing my face - even then, I'm probably smiling, mainly because I really am a food freak!
Today I'm going to share an experience that reinforces the importance of smiling, even when you don't feel like it.
Most of you may not know that Jeff and I meditate, a lot~in many different ways and unique styles. Recently we've been attending the Detroit Lotus Sangha in Ferndale, MI. The Sangha is following the teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh and not only practices with a weekly meditation, they follow one of his books and share it in a group discussion every week. We love this group; it's an incredible community.
When one of the guests came in, I smiled brightly at her. She smiled back and when she asked how I was, I said, "Fabulous". She giggled and I thought to myself, "Wow, how lucky for me to hear such a beautiful sound." Whether she thought I was crazy or simply felt happier didn't matter, she smiled with a giggle, and my smile grew bigger!
Minutes later, another guest mentioned to me that he had been thinking of me. He said when he saw me for the first time I was smiling brightly and he thought to himself that "She must be having a good moment". Then he saw me the next week and I smiled equally as bright. He said, "I realized you are a smile and you make others want to smile, too." He finished with, "Today as I walked with mindfulness on the way in, I thought of you, and smiled!"
Ok, that was really one of the nicest compliments I have ever received. Yes, Molly,(that's my daughter) I am crying; tears of bliss, of course.
Thich Nhat Hanh said, "Because of your smile, you make life more beautiful."

Optimist Creed!
What a wonderful group Optimist International is! Of course, any group that is on a mission to make a positive difference in the world is pretty darn awesome to me!
Quite a number of years ago I printed out the Optimist Creed, in large font and posted it just above my desk. It's amazing how many times a day I look at it for inspiration. My hope today is that you, too, will find a little bliss in these words!
The Optimist Creed
Promise Yourself
To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.
To talk health, happiness and prosperity to every person you meet.
To make all your friends feel that there is something in them.
To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.
To think only of the best, to work only for the best, and to expect only the best.
To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own.
To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.
To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile.
To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others.
To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.
Here's to a truly bliss FULL weekend!

Time to Cooperate
Network for FREE!
Be Well Birmingham
Tuesday, March 9, 2010
Noon - 2:00 pm
Ask yourself and your colleagues, "How can we effectively build our businesses, our lives, through cooperating with those that support our mission?" We all have a mission, a platform, a purpose. That's what I did back in January after I wrote a blog on the "Cooperation Factor." I asked that question to Tamara Stone and Dr. Rose of Be Well in Birmingham. What we came up with is a unique opportunity for others to pitch in and help grow our community.
In order to have our voices heard, our businesses succeed, our purpose fulfilled we need to let go of our ego's need to be on top. Instead, we need to start rebuilding our community with cooperation at the forefront.
"When we commit to cooperating with each other, conflict is dissolved and opportunities are created to combine energies and focus on manifesting better circumstances for all."
In our world, it creates the Bliss Effect - a community working together with joy, where everyone can learn, live, and build from a unique platform of support.
Please join me along with Tamara Stone, and Dr. Rose Batanjski at Be Well On Tuesday, March 9. "Dr. Rose" is the Director of Be Well. We will be hosting our 2nd "Cooperative Networking" event. The event is FREE - yes FREE!
"We simply encourage you to come with cards, a friendly face and the desire to help others succeed!"
Register with Tamara Stone at Tamara@tstoneinteriors.com or at 248-591-7380 prior to Friday, March 5 and receive a free gift.
